Just like the main character in this short, I hit double digits and suddenly I was told I’d have to change my entire identity. My clothes, my behavior, my hobbies, all were deemed ‘inappropriate’ by the adults in my life. Boys my age were allowed to continue behaving like children, but I was held to the standards of an adult, and over the coming months, more and more of my female peers were forced into the same box. And that’s dumb! Let little girls be little girls!
